Non-tariff measures, NTMs, account for the equivalent of about a 30% import tariff in Indonesia. The manufacturing processing base here isn't sufficiently large enough that it requires quite a lot of importing to make things good. There's just a lot of uncertainty about whether all imports will indeed need to undergo halal certifications. But economically Indonesia is sitting fairly well at the end of 2022.
