The movie doesn't allow you to escape anything. You're in that scene with those two characters. You can't get out of it. The privilege that is mutated and perverted, you can't escape it. There is no escape. Nobody's gonna come bail you out. And the only thing that you're kind of left to negotiate is why it was so fucked up in the first place.
