When we stress our body too much, we progress into this area of damage. But if we listen to our body appropriately there and adapt our training accordingly, i actually think that's what stops us progressing further down this sort of damage. If we don't give ourselves that recovery time, the next time we go out to run, we might be in that run with less tissue capacity than at the beginning. So even then, an easy state run, which has always been easy for us, might actually not be as easy for our tissues.
