The Importance of Free Will in Human Beings
In human beings the will is conceived as a rational appetite and its choice is therefore necessarily guided by that which the intellect proposes. God continuously and lovingly affirms all of creation and has a plan for it which is neither changeable nor exchangeable. The ultimate, ultimate, Venus, the ultimate end of creation and of individual creatures within it is in fact written into the natures or essences that God uses to create with. From repercussions of this theological dividing line will continue to reverberate as we move into our analysis of modernist literature.
