The great solitude is a form of suffering when it is purposeless. We need to be able to be alone just as well as we need t be in company. These are essentialnit's not just ballast for the soul, but that is what the soul's supposed to do... If one of those is going badly, the other will also go badly. Ris to do business well, i need to have a security behind me in my isolation. And to be at peace on my own, i need a sense of having managed well the things with other people i wish i knew better how to balance.
