Chinese Mythology - The Divine Farmer

This brings to mind a mythological figure from chinese mythology that have brought up before, and that's a shinong, the divine farmer. He's credited with inventing various important agricultural technologies, but also was said to have consumed hundreds of plants per day in order to chart the medicinal properties of the natural world.
