In the data you talk about white christian self reporting very warm feelings towards african americans. And yet, as you just explained, the races index showing their views about racer are kind of repugnant in many ways. So that was one of tmore shocking bits of your bookas i was somewhat prepared to hear challenging things about white evangelicalism. You don't let the white protestant main liners or the roman catholics off the hook either, because they have their own very sordid history of raceism in this country.
