Is the World Hierarchical?

Some new research suggests that the belief that the world is fundamentally hierarchical. The more you believe people basically are what they are, the more it seems like you lean conservative in this model. And the more you Believe people are malleable and can become anything if the conditions were just better, the more you lean liberal. This might be a super powerful way of thinking about what makes someone conservative or liberal.
