Introduction

Rachel Lomaski is the Senior Director of Machine Learning Engineering at Manifold. She has a BA in Computer Science from Willowsley College, and a PhD in Computer science from Tufts University. Rachel built an extensive career, including being the co-founder and chief data officer of Wevo Conversion. Her course, parallel processing, and map-reduce covered theory and real-world applications of Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, HBase, and Spark.
