I had designed book jackets for anderson's mother, gloria vanderbilt, for what seemed like forever. I was just tremendously affected by that. And so through the years, she would make a book and i would do theco,. Then anderson was publishing his first memoir, which was just after katrina, and he wasn't out yet. So for me, that was a freelance job, and that's how i met him.
