I rarely cook just for myself. But when i do, it is interesting have to build up that activation energy to actually put the effort in just for me. One of the things i enjoyed about making cooking solo was figuring out how can you do desserts, for one. It feels a little bit more special, which, when the world feels like its falling apart, is a sort of gentle corrective.
