Why Do Hot Things Get Infrared?
Everything in the universe that has a temperature does radiate energy. You can see if there's somebody hanging out in your back yard at night, because they are generating a different kind of light which is invisible to your eyes but can be ked up by inferret goggles. If you have a really high temperature, you tend to emit at shorter wave lengths, at higher frequencies. If a really low temperature, you tends to emit at lower frequencies or longer wave lengths. And really, really cold objects, like asteroids floating in space, emit in the infered right? Ye.
