The Life and Times of Ela Serwana

Viceroy Antonio Sebastian de Toledo was recalled to Spain in 1673. In the following year, his wife Leonor Carretto died. Estela Serda, the third Marques of La Laguna, became new Spain's new Viceroy. His wife Maria Luisa was almost exactly the same age as Serwana. She wrote at least 20 love sonnets and at least 40 sonnets on other subjects. The piece that's considered her masterpiece translates into English's first dream.
