In the summer of 83, which is ater in the book, is just all about this french exchange student called muriel who came over. And i looked back, i fell in love so completely with this girl, and she was exotic and different, and she smelt amazing. But then suddenly, at this party, she got off with my friend darius. Andi was heartbroken. When i found out, i was sobbing an, leaning up against a blackberry bush in gloucester, crying my eyes out. It's always struck me as a great coming of age story.
