The word accuser is a problem and perpetuates victim blaming. Jackson cats tells me the words we use when talking about these situations can also lead to victim blaming. The public is identified sympathetically with victims but if you call the victim an accuser, you reverse that dynamic,. she is now doing something to him. She is accusing him, and he is now the victim of her accusation.
