Governor signed an executive order that waived some of the environmental and process regulations so that we could just get fuel breaks on the ground fast. We increased acreage treated that year from I think it was closer to 60,000 acres the year before to 110,000 acres. So when the devastation of the 2020 fire season rolled around most of those fuel breaks actually came into play and saved lives. The state went from having what we thought was going to be a budget surplus where we could fund a lot of this to a dramatic 56 million dollar billion dollar deficit in the pandemic.
