Is the Appendix Vestigial?

Human hibernation is something we're working on now. The idea behind likes slower than lighe hibernation for space travel is you want to slow down their metabolism enough that they don't age, but you also don't kill tom. So a there does seem to be a little bit like some of that chriogenic hundreds of years now in science fiction.
