Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed a law this week rolling back requirements that the state verify the ages of workers under 16 and provide them with work certificates permitting them to work. Under the Youth Hiring Act of 2023, the state no longer has to verify the age of those under 16 before they take a job. So like children may be hired or whatever at 12 if their parents want them to work and it's like whatever there's no accountability," she said.
