How Technology Affects Our Cognition
The friction in that context is time. It's hours between interacting with that information, which I believe lets the brain sort of marinate on whatever it is it took in. So then it can make a somewhat more informed either decision or opinion on something. Even just having the time to step away from how technologies interacting with your brain is hugely important.
