The idea of open handedness was a big theme at the workshop you attended last week. It's an approach to intelligence that is very different from m l researches, who think about it in top down terms. You can't rebuild a complex system from the top level and then build it from bottom up. That's kind of like what end ended gave us - we have this notion of 'openendedness' And i think we're trying to try to do the same thing, because a g i is obviously going to look like a more complex system as well.
