Are You Getting That Emotional Attitude?
There's a type of emotional orientation towards taking potentially very impact for arguments very seriously. And i think that a lot of people are quite cautious about those arguments. Because, you know, it's very easy to be fooled by arguments that are kind of very high level and abstract. I think my guess is that that's probably the main thing blocking people from taking these ideas more seriously. Is just not getting that instinctive like, oh, wow,. Like, this is kind of crazy a reaction a, but like, crazy enough i should actually try very hard to figure it out for myself?
