I had always loved listening to stories and I had loved telling stories so it was a question of putting them into words. My first short story is and perhaps my only short stories were written on request by these magazines in illustrated weekly, some Iraqi magazines also. Both languages I have used in short fiction so that was another form which I went into. Then the novel Avinash because I was so preoccupied at that time with this whole business of mental conditions which are put down as madness and lunacy back then you didn't kind of differentiateyou didn't think of mental illness as illness at all it was all madness.
