The History of Political Violence
Political violence is a completely, empirically, contradictory strategy. The key reason is because as soon as you engage in the othering of other people, we can be justified in engaging in violence towards them. Then what happens is you get what's called over polarisation. If you're going to engage in violence towards us, we don't even want to talk to you - which is diametrically different to the sociability civil resistance model. So there's no re-coming together on society, which is basically why civil wars create,. you know, half century traumas.
