The Broken Country by Molly McCauley Brown
Kelly Wallace: I think so much of female identity is wrapped up in those contradictions, the battles. What happens when we get the thing that we thought we wanted and we're still hungry? So much of desire, these essays bring up, it's tied up in our own physical bodies. Molly McCauley Brown writes about desiring and being desired as a woman with cerebral palsy who lives with chronic pain. She wants to love her body and honor her body and she wants someone else to as well.
