David Allen: As I've lost strength and power, it's made everything else much more challenging. He says we all experience this usually much sooner than we think. A study in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research found a 3k performance improvement of around 5% in trained athletes from that intervention. That may be a low hanging fruit but once you do that, you get a stronger aerobic system,. And then the aerobic system helps you get better at the power generation.
