The Importance of Reading Poetry

I've never really gone to a live poetry reading because I was put off it a bit by the kind of 80s thing in the UK, which was kind of some people did try and do that. It was always this kind of quite aggressive poetry. To go to a real something where Cindy was reading more kind of considered poetry and the sound of the language could just be so good. Does that guy, is an American poet that I really like? Is there a poet called Wallace Stevens? Yes, he's one of my favorites.
