Introduction

In this episode, we turn our attention from the eastern mediterranean to the west. The focus will be on the early latin language and its influence on the germanic languages in western europe. We'll also look at the spread of the alphabet because it underwent a lot of change by the time the romans were done with it. And as i've mentioned in the last couple of episodes, i'm working on a special series dedicated to the history of the alphabet which we used to day.
