The Response to El Nino
People have a whole array of different ways in which they can respond when an el nino of it happens. And one of the things that i concluded in an article that was published a few years ago is that there's a religious dimension to how people deal with El Nino. So if you want to think about this in terms of ancient religions, many of them are oriented some of the deities have to do with weather. A lot of elements of being a successful priest or some kind of religious specialist is predicting whether thinking about the natural environment,. because of agricultural production and things like that.
