hashcash was basically a addiginal postage stamp, where the sender would use some cycles on that computer to create a stamp. It's very difficult for an individual to be able tof receive a payment and to get a credit card merchant processing account as an onerous thing. So it occurred to me that you could cold create a cost without being electronat cash. I think the the idea arose from that that because you could mind to create coins, you could have a free, floating electronic cash system with no direct banking reliance or interface.
