I don't know, I don't often feel like there is a great incentive to. try new things or go for different kinds of builds in Darkest Dungeon 1. The mastery points that you get from very specific things along the road on your way to the final chapter boss do not carry over from run to run. You can spend a mastery point to make crush two or crush plus but it's just a flat, better version of that skill. And if you and if you have a frontline character whose only choice is bonk or skip my turn and gain stress, you're kind of screwed. Because if you bonk the books, you're just making him go super sane faster. So
