The software is looking at video, putting dots on it. The way it does that is something called gradient descent. It says we will put random dots within 100 millimeters of these dots randomly. And then the descent algorithm is let's try eliminating points and see if we're still overlapping as much. Once we have the fewest number, the smallest cloud with the maximum overlap, that's where we've descended into making a decision.
