Restaurants and Food Trucks Are a Blight to the Downtown Community
The idea that food trucks threaten to put restaurants out of business and reduce the city's tax base is misfounded. Food trucks are still bringing in revenue for the city, especially in terms of their sales taxes. And a lot of these food trucks will bring additional customers to restaurants and other businesses in downtown areas. The very argument that they they put restaurant out of business doesn't mean that that space won't one day be occupied by a restaurant.
