Altruism Is Not Generosity

Many atheists hold high this notion of altruism, self sacrifice. Where does the concept of self sacrifice being a virtue come from? Altruism is not generosity. The best thing you can do is to have your life set up so that it is for the service of others. If you've got a million dollars to give away, don't invest it in a company that's not going to do the greatest good. Give it away, give it to a charity where it will absolutely help people.
