The Origins of the Senate

The Roman Republic lasted for almost 500 years from 509 BC to 27 BC. Members of the Senate generally serve for life unless some kind of criminal action or serious scandal got them tossed. The equestrian class is their name as far as like nobles. Think of them as the second most powerful class of property owners right behind all those hot landown and father daddies. On to the second big term now, plebeian, the plebs or the plebs. Other people say plebs. I like plebs. It's very fun for me to do for some reason.
