Edward Lansdale's Order to Set Up Operation Mongoose
JFK later at the end of the month in November 1961 creates this Cuba oriented group called like the special group and a command operation to sort of run this whole thing. And it becomes the basic directive for what evolves into Operation Mongoose. Now the order also specifies that our man here, which you can see it is Edward Lansdale. Ed Lansdale's an infamous covert operator. He's a guy who was very close to Dulles. So he's an interesting guy. But he was the person who's like sort of spear hitting this."
