Is There Any Evidence That the Lost Will Be Given Immortality?
This is one of a few texts that shouldn't be understood in the way that traditionlests do, because of what the bible says about immortality. So to appeal to this text as evidence that people will be given immortality, it is not a proper way to go about it. The judicial context here means that the lost will not also go into eternal life, would be nonsensical. Rather, he says they will go into eternal punishment. And we can see that because paul elaborates on what this penalty is. He doesn't say what the nature of the eternal punishment is.
