How I Feeled Good About Going Home
In the book, as you leave the hospital, there seemed to be, I did feel the sort of characteristic, humorous, Heather reemerge. It had also provided me an appreciation for my regular toothpaste in deodorant. The first time I brushed my teeth with the hospital toothpaste, I gagged and was certain I had grabbed a tube of ointment instead of toothpaste. And they gave me deodorant that smelled like the shavings that line, the bottom of a gerbil cage. I smelled like a gerbill.
