Gaedilinium-Based Contrast Enhanced MR in Pregnancy
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a limit of 90 decibels or less for fetal sound exposure. Gaedilinium crosses the human placenta with a theoretical risk of accumulating in amniotic fluid and associating into free gaediliniam ions that are known to be more harmful than the chelate. The ACR Committee on Drugs and Contrast Media recommends using only agents at low risk for development of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF)
