The Return to Austerity in the Games Industry
The return to austerity, like the age of corporate fitness. I feel like has officially come into full swing and it's had big impacts across so many companies around the world. The games industry definitely more than most so far in 2023. We've seen some of the biggest companies like Xbox, EA, Ubisoft start to make streamlining measures. But also we've just seen it on the complete other end of the barbell too with startups. Even the Web 3 is so much more conservative than it was a couple of years ago.
