Are You Reading Them Through the Eyes of an Economist?
Do you feel like there's a single method that guides you what you know, regardless of genre or time period? Well, I'll channel my inner Leon Cass by saying, but you know, you take the text on its own terms. You don't say, well, you know, Aristotle, there's what we know about them. And therefore, when we're reading this passage, we should remember that film the blank. The great writers and authors of the past, they didn't write like economists. They were like human beings, poor human beings. So try to read it as a human being.
