The History of Discrimination Against African Americans

As recent as the second world war. The g i bill helped hundreds of thousands of former soldiers and sailors to get a college education. A very tiny proportion went to black veterans, because the way the programme was set up discriminated against african americans whod served in the military. To draw that conclusion is by no means to say that this kind of discriminatory behavior characterizes all american history. But it is to say, well established, well researched, well documented history shows some systematic patterns of discrimination against af African Americans.
