The patent wall is a strategy to block competition, not for the 14 years maximum that america's founders originally invision. Prices on these drugs have continued to increase 68 % since two thousand 12. And people are struggling or even dying, because they can't afford the mets. The higher a patent wall a company bill, the longer they hold on to their monopoly. With no one to compete with, they can set prices at whim. Because these are medicines and not designer watches, we have no choice but to pay.
