The Journey to Observability Adoption
I call it a journey because you don't just kind of snap your fingers and have observability. I started with one service, instrumenting that and just like gradually over sprints would instrument more services as well. But when we were in that process of instrumenting services, there was one service, which was our auth service,. And it was erroring every time somebody tried to sign up in the app. If we had had observability, instrumentation in place for that service, it wouldn't have taken us like the four or five hours to find the problem.
