The Invariant Moral Relevance of Principles
If anything's a lie, that always counts against it to some degree, but there might be other things to take into consideration. I think it's most striking if you find one where that it's a lie actually counts in favor of doing it. In such case, at least possible, is lying to a liar. Somebody who's a habitual liar deserves lies. No doubt if you are killing and eating five month old baby because you're bored by a boring football match, this is certainly wrong. But what the defenders of principles have to do is to show that every action that is right or wrong is made wrong by principles. Not just finding a few principles that they can defend is nowhere near
