Is There a Con or a Cons?

There's definitely a healthy tension between maximum consistency across the entire API surface. If an engineer is given the freedom to really only think about that one narrow use case, they might choose to do things a little bit differently. It certainly adds a little bit of time to the review process to ensure that we have that consistency. Some partners will go along with that journey with you because the value is there and the interest is there. But if you really want to scale and grow a sustainable ecosystem, that's not the right way to go about it.
