The Importance of Prophecy
The prophets were sent by the Lord for a very particular reason because God wants to bless the world through the line of David right. The northern tribe is going to be destroyed and brought into exile by the Assyrians and God is saying let's not have that happen to you in fact. Think about in the first reading today Isaiah chapter one and chapter two two things to highlight one is God says what to me is the multitude of your sacrifices I have had enough of burnt offerings and rams and the fad of fed beasts I do not.
