The Strange Parody of a Monster

Karen told me she'd had a similar experience once, but she'd never told anyone about it. She asked me some questions about Kristen and what I did for a living how long I'd been in the area. Karen didn't sit down again instead she went to the window that looked out on the woods and stood at it. It was her long and awkward way of leading into a question about whether I'd had a problem with animals running through my yard. The wood'siness with this neighborhood meant all sorts of things are running around in the middle of the night.
