The Republican State's Struggle to Make It Harder to Amend Constitutions
At least 10 states have tried doing this since 2017 in five of those instances including this one in Ohio that it has gotten as far as going ahead in front of the voters. But only one of them has actually passed. In Arizona, proposition 132 passed and that would have raised or it did raise the threshold for passing ballot measures that raise taxes to 60%. And all the other ones that have been kind of broader have failed.
