The label of a sexual revolution actually dates back to 1929. And that was actually describing a change, the sort of loss of Victorian morality. So once you can have sex without a necessity of thereby getting pregnant or creating offspring, I mean, that allows for a very different set of norms which don't emphasize this aspect and perpetuate this. The pill is often highlighted in current philosophy of technology. But it might be somewhat overstated because there was much more at play here. This technology also came about because of certain activists who were really in for change. We're using the technology as an instrument for change.
