The Big Waterfall Model

In the 80s, IBM was hired to build a system that runs on a mainframe. By late 90s, early 2000s, it's no longer you're packaging up a bunch of CDs and mailing or delivering those. You are now sending that software over the internet. And so we've seen this transformation from the software comes bundled with hardware that is delivered and installed once.
